Being Featured in Art book; The Power of She : A Moment I’ll Always Carry

There are moments in an artist’s life that feel quiet on the outside, but monumental on the inside.

Being featured in The Power of She by the Arts to Hearts Project is one of those moments for me.

When I held the book in my hands for the first time, it didn’t feel like just a publication. It felt like validation, not in a loud or performative way, but in a deeply personal one. My work. My story. Printed, bound, and shared alongside women artists from around the world.

Seeing My Work in Print

As artists, we often live in the in-between: creating quietly, questioning ourselves, pushing through doubt, and continuing even when no one is watching. Seeing my artwork and my story laid out across two full pages was surreal. It reminded me that the hours spent painting, reflecting, and rebuilding myself through art were not invisible after all.

This book doesn’t just showcase art, it honors voices. Each artist is given space not only to present their work, but to speak honestly about womanhood, resilience, growth, and identity. Being part of that collective made the experience even more meaningful.

What The Power of She Represents to Me

The Power of She is a celebration of women who create, often while carrying complex stories behind the scenes. As an immigrant artist from the Philippines, balancing a technical profession with a deeply emotional creative practice, I’ve always felt that my work lives between worlds.

This feature felt like a bridge, between who I’ve been, who I am becoming, and the kind of artist I hope to continue growing into.

It’s also a reminder that art doesn’t need permission to exist. It needs honesty. It needs courage. And sometimes, it needs someone else to say, your voice belongs here too.

Gratitude

I’m deeply grateful to the Arts to Hearts Project for creating this platform and for curating The Power of She with such care and intention. Being included among 50 inspiring women artists is an honor I don’t take lightly.

This book is now part of my journey,  one I’ll look back on years from now and remember exactly how it felt to arrive at this chapter.
